Our course provides students with an effective overview of safe driving technique, lawful practices, and a foundational understanding of what it means to be a safe, wise, and defensive driver.

The California Department of Motor Vehicles requires that all new drivers under the age of 18 must complete a course in drivers classroom education prior to receiving their Learners Permit. Upon completion, the student will be issued a DMV certificate of completion in order to take the DMV written examination to receive their learner's permit.

Upon passing the written examination the student receives their DMV issued instructional permit and can legally practice with parents after their first behind the wheel lesson with the licensed driving instructor.

Choose our Classroom Course and receive a discounted price on 3 two-hour lessons of Behind the Wheel Training with our experienced instructor, Stuart Thorsby.

At the last class of Drivers Ed the student is scheduled for the first behind the wheel appointment. The student must then go to DMV and take and pass the written test to receive the permit. At the first lesson the instructor signs and dates the permit which activates it for legally practicing with parents.
