Quality Training for Safe Driving Technique

A student under 17 1/2 years of age, issued an Instruction Permit by the California DMV must complete the required 6 hours of Behind the Wheel Training. Our dedicated, experienced, and professional instructor, Stuart Thorsby has over 30 years of experience and has worked with teen and adult students training them in the best driving techniques available. Behind the Wheel Training is offered to students in the Grass Valley, Penn Valley, and Nevada City region of the California foothills.

Behind the Wheel Training is offered in 3 two-hour sessions. Training is done in an automatic Toyota Corolla equipped with a dual brake. Each session is designed to offer students practical experience in a variety of different driving techniques. All elements of the DMV driving exam and more are covered in the sessions. Upon completing the 3 sessions, students will be issued a Certificate of Completion required by the DMV to take a drivers test for students under the age of 18.

Students are picked up and dropped off by the instructor at a pre-arranged location determined at the time of scheduling to fit the needs of the school and student.
